any upcoming meets in the SE??

Can anyone tell me if there are any meets that will have alot of earllies and parts at it. I would like to see some but man are they hard to find in my neck of the woods. I live in SW Virginia. I just got back from the Good Guys Nationals in Columbus and only saw four. Very disappointing!

I feel your aggravation. It seems that everything is west and north when it comes to meets. Maybe we should work on getting a meet started in Virginia. Probably have it located centrally so it would be equal distance for most folks. I am in SE Virginia, Yorktown, but I would not have a problem traveling to someplace in Central Virginia, maybe the foothills of the Blue Ridge
Mountains for instance or maybe Richmond. What do you think?

You're right. maybe we could centralize it to Roanoke or Harrisonburg, Va so that Kentucky and Tennessee folks could make it.

I know how you guys feel....
My truck is just getting in that 1000 mile safety range.
Could not make it to Canada Vanfest.
Could not make it to Bakers...maybe next year though.
But before that there was only Carlisle, PA.
Even then I could not take the truck..because it was not ready.
So, this year I started the FIRST Northeast Gathering of Earlys.
If you guys want to be in a great show..come on up to Jersey this Saturday.
The local campground is giving 20% discount to the vanners.
Great Adventure Amusement and Water park is just down the road for the kids.
I've got coupons for the Jackson Premium Outlet stores if u bring the wife and she wants to shop. The show site has one of Jackson, NJ's premium pubs.
I mean if your truck can make it...it's gonna be fun.
I've been down to the Outer Banks and VA Bch....and I know that you guys know how to party! Would love to see you up here!

Thanks for the replys. My 66 is not on the road yet but i am wanting to make it to a meet some where just to see some good earlies and get some ideas. Roanoke, Lynchburg, Charlotesville or ever Richmond all would be good for me. There are just not that many shortys around Bristol.

The Southeast Van Council is having a get together in Whittier North Carolina
thats near the Tennasee border sometime in October of this year...get in contact with them...or thru Vannin.com

I looked at the website for the deal over in Whittier. By the looks of their pics from past events I didnt see any earlys. I'll keep looking and hopeing ...... Thanks again though!

You have to do it yourself!

Use the Whittier Van Meet as the venue and get the earlys on this site to go.
and Gather together.
Call it the Gathering of Earlys at Whittier

Start with the guys on this post that were complaining about no early event in Virginia......That's about six already! Just email them individually.
