Wondering if I would be able to buy new gas tank straps or if I would have to make my own. Thank you.

No one makes them for an Econoline, but there might be some universal straps that can be adapted. I used plumber's strap, doubled over. It says that it can hold over 600 pounds, so I figured it would work temporarily. I'm going to bend up some "proper" straps soon though.

I remember replacing my straps on my 64 back in 1970 with 1" wide strapping
that had 1/2" holes in it every 2". I got the strapping at a hardware store. Bent one end over and thru the slot by the axle and bolted it to itself. Then bolted the remaining end using the long J bolt by the rear bumper. Worked pretty good. Never took the tank out, just replaced the straps because one was all rusted and broke. I was 17 at the time.
