Just a light fence, huh? Carry all the lumber in your van? jk almost like the inside of a cabin! Very cool! Not a project for the weak-hearted!

I just built this sink vanity for my guest bathroom. I went to home depot & everything they had was made out of press wood so I just decided to build one. I built it with all used materials with the exception of a couple of new 1X4's.
Everything was rescued from going to the dump enclosing the sink & faucet.

Thanks bill,
I like to do wood work & build stuff so after seeing the crap that home depot & lowes had to offer I just decided to build one. I probaly have $10 or $15 total in it & a little of my time.

Saturday I mowed almost all the 2 acre spread. Only spots missed were a couple bare areas and the areas under all the cars/vans. I need to add a few more so I will only have to do the front!
Got a total of 30 here, including mine, the SO's and a few friend's.
Spent the past hour collecting the big hunks of fiberglass that were water tanks rolled up in the back yard. There was a big dust devil yesterday while I was gone that came through, picked them up and tossed one into the neighbor's yard about 60 feet away, and the other in the NEXT neighbor's yard about 300 feet away! 16 feet long, about 8 feet wide. Of course, they didn't break into nice easy to move chunks.

home improvements, wow you hit the nail on the head. in the past week I’ve worked on refinishing floors, putting glass tile up at the outdoor shower, installed a window and replaced some siding at our camp on the blanco river, painted the ceiling in the screen room and carport, helped the wife make a flower box… hired a drywall paint touch up guy, a tree service to trim about 20 oak tree. this was all just the past ten days. we were scheduled to have a prime time reality show start production here this week, but the show was cancelled before the first episode ever aired. amazing how much work can be done in a short time if you think you NEED to have it done.

gotta love an off-grid cabin. it’s good to have a plan B for the zombie apocalypse.
we have a little cabin on the blanco river, it is semi off grid. I use the electric pole for a/c but hope to get enough solar or wind that I can power a mini/split DC (48 volt) air conditioner in the future. and I need a water well. right now I haul in water 50 gallon at a time, have a 275 gallon tank on site and one of those camping water heaters for showers.
and I built a floating coffee table to use when we soak in that river. it holds the beer and pork rinds
and that is why my vans have been on the back burner, none of them have a/c and it’s hot here in texas.
