    that's a fair price, i think Ralph Nater made G.M. to quit production due to roll over on the hi-ways,

    They called these guys the Nader Invaders! Ralph Nader in his infintie wisdom condemed the covair to an early death, even though it was of the most advanced cars ever made by chevy, imagine a production turbo charged 180 hp spyder monza and this was back in 65!!!
    They do have some major drawbacks though they are loud being aircooled, they dont have much power for a van, and the stupid belt comes off quite a bit.
    They are cheap and easy to find though, and quite easy to work on, its like an American made volkswagon.
