How the heck do you keep cracking the glass??? Plex wouldnt take long to get all scratched up. My 61 still has the same glass in it now for how many years..LOL,,,, I have a stack of them here, but sounds like you are not doing something right on it??

I have an extra pc of glass if yo need it.
But, I'd check to see if the dash or top plate has any barbs or ridges
that could poke the glass as it is tightened down.

Any chance the tabs that hold the panel to the dash aren't bent a bit causing the cluster to twist, putting presure on the glass.

When I got the glass cut I think it was too snug of a fit (in the cluster), learned my lesson this time.
