Interior Door Handles falling off

My Interior Door handles are falling off!
The slots on my handles are worn...Is that why they are falling off?
What is the fix?
New handles from Macs?
New extenders from JC Whitney? Anyone buy these lately?
Any ideas?

New handles.

Check the splines on the handles and on the lock shaft too. Both need to be in good shape. Also check that the screw that holds it on to the shaft isnt stripped out.

screws work fine...
the inner splines of the handles look worn and not as pronounced as the door shafts..I think that is the problem...

Ordered new handles from MACS...did not want to spemd the money, but they'll make the truck look better

[iIf thye screw threads are bad - get a metric tap & new screw & tap to next size.

My drivers door handle fell off too. The splines are good on the door and handle but just wouldn't tighten up. I put a new screw in and so far so good. I got a new one for mac's and looks good. Also a note on the outside handles. I ordered a set from Tom's Bronco parts. I got a par with buttons for 29.95. Time will tell on the chroming but it's better than the 120 Mac's wants. They needed a few quick mods but they work
