    Generational Differences Empty Generational Differences

Post by mcfly Sun Nov 16, 2008 6:03 am

Being fairly new (or recently reborn)with the vintage van scene, I have a question that only a new guy might ask.

Besides from the cosmetic appearance what are some of the pros and cons between 1st and 2nd generation chevys ?

I still favor the 1st gen.chevys but since joining this site I have discovered so many other Years, makes, and models. Since I do not have a van yet I might as well do all my homework and take all into account instead of going with just my gut(when it comes time I am sure I will go with my gut Laughing ).
Those early fords are really cool and those Ford Econoline Pickups are wild (wife's favorite). This is getting fun.

Mcfly, i dont know squat about vans as im new here and to the early van scene myself but i think the 2cnd gen chevys probably had a little sturdier running gear and would probably except a v-8 motor easier. just my guess. these guys are the pros when it comes to this stuff. im just up early this sunday morning reading van stuff.

mcfly they all have there good and bad points. Some are harder to find parts than others, but sure whatever you get you'll fall in love with it for sure.
