How well do all your doors seal from wind or rain ? I have seen a few vans that you can see daylight through them when they are closed even with seals. The seals granted are old but it doesn't even look like the doors interlock well enough that a seal would make much difference. I realize they may need to be adjusted but do you guys get them sealed good enough to keep water out.

remember= the factory had good door seals when new- or=they would have never sold many vans at all. From experience-paint & Body work- its all in the door adjustment-hinges =in & out - up & down and latches & strikers. Id try loosening all hinges- shut & lock the doors-put 1/32-- 1/16 spacer material under& sides- retighten the hinges - with extra people pushing on center-or-latch area and the hinge areas & tighten- see what u get? Usually a close fit- if ur doing by urself-?? never will get it done as good as more help!! Works

Assuming the body and the door are not bent, you can adjust the doors to fit. As the Twinpilot said, there are several places to adjust, and it takes time and patience to get it right.

Thanks guys, I was hoping things were not that bad that they were built as air gaps.

Once you get them close, one of the tricks we used on military hatch seals was to chaulk them so when you close the door the chaulk will transfer and you can see if you are getting a full seal.

POS vans ... and I say that affectionately ... why do you think they were the first crushed out? ... why do you think we own them? ... maybe we should have been crushed as the first as well ,,, lol!
