A100 Factory Air Conditioning Empty A100 Factory Air Conditioning

Post by SnarkyPoet Wed Jun 22, 2011 11:12 pm

I recently stumbled across a NOS factory air conditioning evaporator unit for an A100 and managed to get my hands on it for next to nothing (it's completely mint). Does anyone have a functional system out there for comparison? I don't have any diagrams to work from. I will also need to dig up a compressor, condenser, and drier if anyone knows of one. My van is a completely stock survivor, so I'm trying to keep it as original as possible. (I may end up going with a newer sanden style compressor if I can't get a stock one, though.) I'd appreciate whatever info anyone could provide.

    nice find!

I'll eventually look at something for my van just because it's brutal here in the summer. I'll probably undertake that when I do the engine swap

the o-e compressor would no doubt be a 2 cylinder compressor and its BIG. the old v-twins could really kill a good working engines power when the clutch hammered in. my best advice would be go with a smaller sanden or nippendso type for space and heat.
