    Hey all,

Been lurking long enough, had joined the old site, don't think I posted though... Finally got my van on the road, a friend of a friend bought it off of Ebay May 23 of 08 (so almost 3 years to the day) He put it in storage, I found out about it in October & bought it site un-seen & left it for dead in my yard ever since... A friend commented how it was/is just going to get wrecked sitting o/s, so I bought two vans in one week to get a few missing parts I needed to get it roadworthy. (one was a 'Family-Wagon by Travco & the other a 108window van) Still workin out some bugs (not sure when it was on the road last, says it has 33k orig miles, so idk. I have tons of Mopars, so never time to just focus on one, happy that I got the van registered though! Just want more vans now though... Enjoy all the posts, links etc... Still need a few parts ofc. Found a few vans/trucks around, met lots of people & heard some great old stories of their vanning days etc... Here is a pic, and yes I live on the Wet Coast not the West Coast! Nice 3days prior so can't complain! Cheers

Thanks for the warm welcome. Think my comp is finally toast... some error msg popped up shortly after I signed up/posted (hardrive something or other...) No more desktop icons & favorites are empty! Shocked

I scrapped the M/home van (a friend told me he needed a floor a week after I scrapped it ofc) Still have the 108, its a pretty clean van (only rust is front floor) I will be selling that eventually. 69 Sportsman 318 auto originally. I bought with no mtr or trans though. Think it was from Calif, has some Mexico tourist stickers on the windows from 71. Can take & post a pic or two if anyone is interested.

Oh ya, I would luv to buy/sport one of the sites t-shirts, but I take a medium! Do I need to eat more and buy a large!?! (prob not possible, I eat way too much already...

    Cheers

Thanks again guys, bumpers aren't actually that great either, one day I will get them re-chromed (probably in the US as its 1/2 price than in Canada now! As is pretty much anything else...)

Dix-the parts van would be a good project for someone that is into a 108 (I would get rid of it easier if I threw a motor/trans in it but no time/cash to waste that I won't get back) floor is rusty in the front (as most are) and the side doors on inside on bottom. I bought it for the bumpers, so it has none...

A100Sportman- that's my fav~ color on the vans (is the color my interior is supposed to be, guy from Idaho painted it tan...) I will go back to orig when I do a full resto! Anyone know of some good orig door panels and or seats that color? (Champagne) Not sure of original name for that color.

RodStRace- I need a US mapbook! (plan on driving the van all around the States soon, so yeah a mapbook is a must!) Van looks like its coming along, Cuda is cool too, you are a wealth of info for the people on here, die hard Mopar guy I can tell!

    Vanish-very cool 4x!

Klt how's the motor coming along, should be fun & worry free when all done!

sasktrini-will make it out to Sask one day as well, many dead earlies laying around? Parents were there a few weeks ago to visit friends, I've only made it as far east as Red Deer ALTA... (great Mopar show though)

New Zealand-cool cars you guys have! One day... I have a few magazines from over there somewhere (Slick 6packs)

    Cheers all & happy vannin/truckin!

Well, demondog and I scoured SK for parts vans... mostly found Econolines, but GMs and Mopars are rare. My bro has a 68 Fargo A100 with the windows that we plan to restore, and Lyrad from Edmonton teased me with another he saw that I'm trying to get... but I've already said too much Laughing Wink

Why not go full-on 21st century and carry along a laptop with Google Earth loaded. Lots of cool special interest things, great maps, and you can update us while on your road trip so we can all follow along.
Little by little. A real body guy would be done by now.

Ah yes I love this color as well! Very Happy If this is the color yours should be and you have interior panels then yours is a Custom Sportsman like mine! I have my interior panels still, but they are rough. Legendary Auto Interiors revamps old Mopar interior panels if you still have yours, I haven't gotten around to sending em in yet so not sure if they could do the A100 ones. The front seats in mine I just took to an upholsterer and had them redo them like original. The original back seats were missing when we purchased it, so we have B-van rear seats, hopefully get them reupholstered like A-van ones soon. Right now I am waiting for a headliner template from another member on here and then I am going to make a new headliner out of some material. Hope I can help you out, my van runs great and looks good externally now, just workin' on the interior.

Your brothers van a slanter or a V-8 Corey? I know of a 108 V8 Fargo, bit rusty though...

Laptop is a great idea Rod as my home comp is junk anyways... Google Earth eh!

My interior panels were left in my van for a couple years with the windows out (not my doing) Yes it would be nice to find good originals to give to Legendary to copy. Custom Sportsman it is.

    Cheers

Got a 225 Slant 6 and A727 Automatic. Almost got it to fire up at one point, but it's still waiting for our attention... too many projects! Looking forward to rejuvenating the Slant 6.
