after a long wait - transport company did estimate 2 weeks - watching the tracking it made it from tuscon to a town east of dallas in good time - then sat there for over a week - got the call this morning - fortunately i had the day off - i am pleased overall - the body seems to be pretty solid - sorry if any of yous was bidding on this one - i happen to have a thing for display vans - and i have not seen to many full display a100s - i also have a thing for original white vans but green with white top is a close second -and can you ever go wrong with a 69!- i even think i will keep the industrial roof vents - and maybe even the roof rack -will need some painted original bumpers though- the seller did knock $100 off the price because he thought he had the heater and duct assm but it was gone - a van for me is a work van - the first thing that went was the carpeting - i did want to try a standard trans van as both my previous vans were factory autos - not so sure about the on the tree thing though - i need to practice a bit more as the 1st to 2nd shift was not coming easy - will need some sort of front end work - has play in steering and i took a ride on the freeway and just about soiled my drawers - was only doing maybe 55 and hit a mild pavement bump and it almost jumped into the next lane and weaved side to side dangerously - i think the guy in the next lane had the same reaction - so what could that be? - until i fix that no freeway action - now the 66 ( blue van) will eventually be sold - i do not have the money, space or time for 2 vans - i have a guy who wants to buy it but he just started a new job so has to see how that goes - today was a good day ! happy friday the 13th ! - i did always consider friday the 13th a good day as my sister was born on one - oo3
