Howdy all. nice site ya got here. im new to the vintage van scene. im a cb/ham radio guy and am involved with a couple of those forums. i recently aquired a 1970 a100 dodge no door from a guy at a garage sale. paid 200$ for it. (i went there to buy a ladder).lol. it runs but was being used as a storage shed. got a slant 6 - auto tranny. body is in pretty good shape other than the rv vent in the roof. really like the earlys. hope to learn and really enjoy looking at every ones rides. as far as my BUSMAN handle, i do own a school bus/rv. might have to change it to vanman.lol.

Hey busman, welcome to the site and like Vanish says, pictures are great. I especially like the before and after pics, so don't be shy to grab a few shots of your diamond in the rough still crud covered.

vanish, the story behind the bus is, my wifes daughter moved to montana (this was 4 years ago) and it had been 2 years since we seen her or the grand kids. i was going to buy a used winabago or something so we could go see her. we live in n.w.oregon. so we were in portland oregon one day and seen this place that sold new school buses to the local schools. they take trade ins and had 6 of these 1984 crown ex-issaquaw washington school buses. i told my wife, hell, lets just buy one of these and drive it to montana. and thats what we did. tore all the seats out,put in a table, futon, couple of captain chairs. a 2 burner propane stove and through a bed in the back. me,my wife,my 18 year old son and his freind and our chihuahua spent 2 weeks going to butte montana. its got a 6-71 detroit diesel that lays on its side in the middle of the bus.auto tranny. we take it out about twice a year. we both work. ill never sell it because you never know any more,i might be livin in it.LOL. OH BUY THE WAY,THIS OLD BUS GETS MORE ANTENTION THAN A NEW DIESEL PUSHER. AND NOT FROM THE COPS EITHER. JUST REGULAR FOLKS WANT TO SEE IT. ITS THAT OLD LIVING ON THE EDGE MENTALITY I GUESS.LOL.
