The horn button assembly on my 65 A-100 van had been taken apart before I purchased the van. It does not look like all the parts are there and was wondering if anybody knows where I could find a breakdown on what parts should be there or if someone has pictures of what should be there. Info would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks, JT

Re: Horn assembly?
I did and the only thing I could find only stated information about the horn not the horn button.

Page 19-4 or 11 of 14 in
www.ismrepair.com/downloads/Dodge_A100_Service_Man_grp_16-19.pdf
It does not show it but does describe it.
Doing a google image search for Dodge horn button parts came up with this

Re: Horn assembly?
Thanks man, I missed that page. I think I'm missing the actual button and is there a spring? I didn't see one in any of the diagrams.

Re: Horn assembly?
It looks like this:
The brown bakelite piece with the three prongs on it is on the bottom, it and the chrome trim ring are assembled and then bolt on as one piece. When the brown piece and the chrome trim are assembled there will be a gap between them, the wire goes through this gap and plugs onto the male spade terminal (at 6:30 in the pic).
The spring is actually inside the brown piece, if you squeeze the edges of it with your fingers it will move. The cover just snaps down on top of the chrome trim ring when it's all screwed together but it serves no other purpose.
There are four parts:
1) wheel
2) brown bakelite/spring thing where the wire connects
3) chrome trim/housing ring
4) cover
The trim ring is about 2" tall but its hard to see in my picts, it's almost flush with the top of the wheel when its all installed.
I took my wheel off and put on a wood one (but kept all my parts).

Re: Horn assembly?
Thank's for all the help, I pretty sure I know what I need. Looks like I'm missing the hold down screws and the button. I have the chrome ring and plastic piece which I didn't know had the spring part in it that gives you that whole button thing. I guess if I just had the correct screws the horn should work.

By the way that wood wheel looks sweet. What is the offset and diameter. Plus how does it feel?

It's a Grant 15" wood wheel on their website here.. It feels great, its a bit taller than the OEM wheel so my fingers dont hit the turn signal switch anymore while im driving. Its still big enough to drive easily as well.
