Junk Yard Pics. Empty Junk Yard Pics.

Post by econopoor Wed Nov 10, 2010 7:50 pm

Here's some junk yard pictures from one of my favorite places. Has about 2000 cars and trucks. Too bad it's been picked over pretty good. Only just a few vans left. I've bought three from it so far. Here's whats left.

Dodge A-100, Bad rusted. Roof is bent up pretty bad.

65? Sportvan. This one looked pretty nice when I fist saw it about 15 years ago. Age has caught up to it.

63 Econoline, I can only see this one in winter. It's in some thick weeds.

66 Econoline, Nothing left on this one.

These have all been sitting 30 years. Not much left to them. I still love to go to this yard. It's always interesting.

Is the sway bar the same on a first gen and a second gen? I'll take a look next time I go.

Don't let that Dodge fool you. She's rotten to the core. I seriously considered buying it but after I gave it a good look over I changed my mind. All the sheet metal has heavy rust. All the chrome is pitted. It's full of intake manifolds. The floor is falling thru. Even the headlight bezels are banged up quite a bit. Bumpers are both bent. Even the grill has a lot of damage. Here's a picture of the interior. Look at the A pillar. It has several rust thru spots on it. All the substructure is like this. It's done.

    It's a shame too. I really like the A-100's.

The 2nd Gen is dropped to go under a dual line master cylinder,,,,,It would probably work on a 1st Gen,,,,,,,

I tried a 2nd gen swaybar on mine it didnt work out, think there is a difference in the way the shocks mount maybe? was some interference somewhere, (rotten memory)

That "may" have been part of the issue with the 2nd gen swaybar, the M1 brackets get along great with the 1st gen swaybar.

The guys in the southwest would love an A-100 steering wheel like that without big chunks missing!
