#rg. Gen- parts used on 2nd gen=??

Hello all-Great Group!! I have a 3rd gen chev van - loaded - eng & trans still run yet need re-done - I also have a 2nd gen that i am working on any thing from the 3rd adaptable to the 2nd- discs=?? ect?? what can be used?? Thanx

Anythings addaptible just depends how much money your willing to throw at it.
Lots of stuff will fit, some stuff fits with modification. The brakes, ah no. Depending what year your 3rd gen is , the brake calipers are probobly useable with the two disc conversion setups designed for these vans but I wouldn't recomend used calipers to anybody because they are unpredictable and rebuilt units are cheep.

I used the motor and transmission from my 3rd gen and adapted the gauges over to my 2nd gen...that was about it for me...I wished I would of kept the brake calipers off the 3rd gen to use as cores when I bought my new calipers though. Would of saved me $40

Thanx to all - anyone done rear heat & A/c from a 3rd.gen over to a 1st/2nd gen van.?? Seems also on ebay there is a new manfactuer selling disc brake caliper mounts for just about everything. Nice stuff - yet a little pricy too.
