Well I'm not going with those colors so you are welcome to use them!
I'd rather deal with dirt than a ton of rust! Bet those east coast guys would like the bottom to look like this!

Found another picture of the Purple I plan on.
Original Plum Crazy/In Violet on the left (repaint, a bit too Silver) and the new Plum Crazy that I intend to use on the right...
    Deeper and more intense! cheers

No new pics of the 66, but work is progressing.
Fixed the dent from flipping it a bit too low, and have cut away the front pan area to replace. It was just too beat in and thin.
Anyway, here's some of the herd back at home...

Still not much progress lately, but did cut the nose section out to replace. It was just too messed up after trying to pull the dents out. Better to remove, clean behind and replace.

Here is the old part laying on the front floor. Easier to trim it below the spot welds then just work with removing the strip that was spotted on the lip behind the grille.

Bump to the top, getting back to this one.
It's been scuffed inside and I have an appointment for next week to get it blasted.

    Thanks Joe.
Rear doors are fully sanded and have been final metalworked and a couple small spots of filler.
Front doors are sanded, will go into the next phase soon. Side doors next.
Then will sand down the whole body, prep open holes and weld in the patches.
Will need to gather up other parts fro blasting, but don't want too many things in bare metal at once.

Well, my body/paint friend closed his shop and may be headed hundreds of miles away. Mad
So I had to get the bare body in primer to protect it.
Spent a couple weekends getting the doors and the body done.
This is just primer, no body work in the near future.
It's now off the rotisserie on the trailer, I just need to make space in the garage for it to hibernate until I can get back on it.
Everything's covered except the inside floor. Ran out of etch that must be done before the primer is shot. I plan on re-prepping that and priming, but figure a little surface rust there for now won't be an issue. It's all getting carpeted anyway.

Man, that's a shame about your friend moving away. Gotta be frustrating to be that close. In any case, protect it well for now and hopefully things will work out for you in the near future with it. Looks like it's just screaming to be finished!!!

I finally got it stuffed into the garage where it just sits for now.
A new low pay part-time job and trying to concentrate on yet another project means this one is sitting for now.
Plus it's getting cold here now (20s overnight), so with an unheated, uninsulated, no power garage, everything is moving slower.

This pic is years old. The race car is sold, the garage is stuffed now, but the 1940 Plymouth pictured is the main focus now. I still will drive the 108 when it's during the warmer hours of the day.
