Fuel Tank Sending Unit Empty Fuel Tank Sending Unit

Post by mattimuss Sat Jul 24, 2010 8:32 am

    Hey All!

Sorry I have been away for a while, 'life' just seems to take control every once-in-a-while and I don't get to play with my van.

I think I posted a few months ago that I am in the middle of a complete drive line rebuilt on my 108. I have had the rear end converted to a sure grip, the springs gone through, the drive shaft rebuilt and balanced, and I dropped the fuel tank off yesterday at Kirk's to be cleaned and lined.

When I pulled the sending unit out I discovered why my gas gauge wasn't working, the last three inches of both tubes had rotted off and were rolling around in the tank.

So, I need to find a new sending unit. Recommendations?

I spent this morning over several cups of joe catching up on the forum, it's good to be back!

Thanks in advance for any help!

I'm going to go with mine is fair. I still have on my list that I have to bend up the flange a little more so it fits tight. It works its way loose. I don't contact the seller, so I really don't know if this is correct.
