    anybody?
    i got a carter RBS but its not working, im hoping
    to get a better carb, or at least a modern one. with this one
    i cant fit an air cleaner. any help is well apreciated. THANKS

    That sounds like a 70's carburetor to me,,,,,,,so is it on a 6 cylinder Ford? I would think you should have a Motorcraft or Holley on it. Was that carb on it,,,,,is that the original engine,,,what size is it,,,,and just what problems do you have with that carb????

    im going that its a 170, the guy that sold it to me said
    he changed the engine from a 60's ford car into the van,

    i got a new carb my uncle left here for me.
    i cant find a model number other than it says MFG BY CARTER FOR MOTORCRAFT
    it seems to be working all right, i have not yet istalled it on the van,
    my question here is that it has three cables.. and the old carb does not have any of these.

    could one be the electric choke..?? where does it connect??
    what about the other two?? do i need them??
    i will post pictures soon

    If it has wires on it, you might have a bowl vent and idle solenoid and a ground for them,,,,,,
