It will draw and direct more early vanner's to our site.
Think of it as "FREE" exposure...

Damn I posted on this earlier and the post has disappeared. Anyway like Dan said it is a very good way to get people to this site. I use facebook to keep in contact with a lot of people that don't frequent this site, especially family members, vanners, and people that own the same kind of dog I do. I never get involved in any of those stupid games and such.

Think of it as more of a "Road Sign" helping vanner's and non-vanner's alike find our site. Working as a Director of Information Technology for many years I have learned that most people (about 85%) have a very limited idea on how to search and find anything on the internet (Google has lowered it to about 60%). I think sometimes we forget that most people are not as computer literate as we are and when it come to searching the "Net" are faced with this:
I also know that with every new member comes new experiance, knowlege and ideas that can and may help some or all of us. Facebook seems to be the new mecca for online connections for freinds, family, hobbies and common interests.
99% couldn't find a bumper for a 56 chevy if their life depended on it. But ask about Facebook? Yeah, they all know about Facebook! And with "over 300 Million Facebook members" Figured it was time to put up our own road sign!
And with that much exposure it will be really easy for people when "www.Vintage-Vans.com" is only a single "CLICK" away......
I'm not real fond of many things on Facebook either. But keep in mind, it's not for us. It's for everyone else to find us!

From what it looks like, this page is set up like an individuals page ,not as a group.Request would have to be approved.Just like here, spammers could be eliminated as well through its moderator.
I too was skeptical ever gettin on there, but I know when my son was on his deployment,if not for FB,I would havent known his current of events.
