how to take off emblems

trying to take off the emblems out of the doors and the front
was doing it late last night but stopped and decided to ask first
before i break any of them..thanks

theres metal inserts into the holes in the doors and front panel the letters push into. the pins are brittle and do break but try some penetrating fluid on the pins and slowly pry from the body with a flat metal scraper evenly. the single letters have 2 pins and the door script has 3. don't worry to much cause you can always use a good 2 sided tape to reinstall them. i used both tape and the inserts and they dont move or rattle which saves paint chips and rusting.

If you are really concerned with the pins, after soaking try carefully pushing STRAIGHT OUT on the pins from behind.
The front ones are tough to access unless the heater is out.
Here is a picture, looking from the passenger side toward the driver's side under the dash showing the pins and the little clips that hold them.

You can see that on an A? I thought they were blind inside the heater cavity! COOL!

On my 66 A parts van the door script has those sheet metal speed nuts on the back.
