Yesterday my tranny in my 2006 F150 took a dump on me. Just got a call from the shop and it seems that the torque converter went caput and damaged the pump which caused even more damage so it needs a new torque converter, new steels, pump and a bunch of other crap. The guy told me it would cost a little over $3,000.00 to fix it and my heart skipped a beat or two and then he said he noticed the "Purple Heart" license plates on the truck and asked if I am a veteran. I said yes and he told me he would discount it to $2138.00 for me. Needless to say I am going to recommend him to all my friends especially those that are veterans. It is nice to know that there are people out there that say they appreciate veterans and then put their money where their mouth is. I don't think many shops would do that. Only down side is it will slow down the progress on the van.
