Re: mo_1040 '67 chevy
Took my van down the highway tonight and joined the car cruise down Main Street. First time I've had it out past 2 blocks from my house, ran really good and got tons of thumbs up and a lot of cheering... Had a blast, now tomorrow I'll drive to the carshow if it's not down pouring rain like the weather channel says. It was fun watching heads turn and stare... There's no other vans around this area so people got pretty excited to see one.

Re: mo_1040 '67 chevy
Drove to the carshow today, wasn't registered to be in it but once I got there they insisted that I go park with the show cars. Had one guy yell out "man that is fricken sweet!" Got to say I loved all the attention it got although that's not why I built it. People went crazy and flocked to it and loved it... A lot of people said it was their favorite in the show. I hope my van will encourage others around here to look at vans differently and eventually see more up here in this neck of the woods. So many people had no idea Chevy made a van like this, at first they thought maybe a dodge or ?. Had a blast and got to meet a lot of new people... Looking forward to the next show.

Re: mo_1040 '67 chevy
I love those mirrors... Those were the icing on the cake for me...thanks Joe Van for letting them go... I've gotten quite a few parts from guys on here and appreciate all the help and advice I have received. This van has has been a dream of mine since I first saw it when I was 15. Can't tell you how kinda unreal it feels to actually be driving that very same van around 28 years later.

Making the ends for the visor was the easy part...finding a good donor visor to start with was the hard part... I ended up stealing this one off of eBay for $15. I think it was originally for a 80's ford.
