Re: mo_1040 '67 chevy
First paint job....Hours....weeks of wet sanding and buffing to get that mirror looking finish...My shoulders hurt for weeks!!! Still have to buff out the front end on that last pic. Alot of work but it was worth it and I'm pretty proud of my first paint job. Total cost for primer, paint, etc... was about $1000.00

Re: mo_1040 '67 chevy
I have no idea if it's a dodge color? It was just in a book with a lot of color sample's in it. I was going to go with the burnt orange color that they have on the dodge daytona...I thought that would of looked awesome. I am planning on eventually putting some flat black graphics on the side of some sort along with flat black bumpers and black tinted windows. I have black louvers to go on the back window's. The thing I love about van's is you don't have to keep everything stock or original. But in a way it gets a little frustrating because the possibilities are endless and I keep changing my mind on which way to go with it. But I'm having a blast working on this baby of mine.

Re: mo_1040 '67 chevy
I think it is the same color as my 05 dodge p/u, very sharp ,, but yer woman is gonna have ta get ya a feather duster for christmas to keep it purty,,lol,, And I second the having a blast part, Its been a very good distraction from the everyday stuff when i get a chance to work on mine, and like G's 64 its a blank slate, so I keep going back and forth on what to do to it.

Re: mo_1040 '67 chevy
Well if I had a heavy cover to drag over my van, I would attach a rope tied to the top center of the cover and a pulley to the ceiling to raise and lower it onto the van, or make up a frame out of PVC with the pulley set up that your van could drive under and than lower the cover onto the roof and then pull it over the ends of the van.

Re: mo_1040 '67 chevy
I have a turbo 350 that I put in last night... i have a 700r4 but needs to be rebuilt(might end up swapping them out at a later date). As far as have the rest of the parts I'm still kinda scrambling around looking for a shifter, radiator... and I'm sure their will be other things I run into that I'll need.

Re: mo_1040 '67 chevy
Wow...I was on the second page! Guess I should update this more as I get things done. Finally got my grill mounted...still need to take it back out and clean it up a little. Also mounted my bumper...not too crazy about the black but when I find a chrome bumper that I can shorten I'll replace it.

Is the grill chromed and removable??? If so very cool. The picture is a little dark that why I'm asking. P.S. bumper looks good.

Re: mo_1040 '67 chevy
The grill was for a 67 chevy truck that I cut up to fit. It's just a regular aftermarket aluminum billet grill. I got it fastened with four screws on each side so it is removable. It was a royal pain to cut and pretty scary cutting up a new grill knowing that if you mess up you'd have to buy another one. The bumper is from a 77 gmc van that I chopped 7" out of.
