Re: Rear Window Gasket?
Thanks guys !
Only thing I can think of on the brake kit to watch for is the ridge on the axle hub, ,, at first try it looked like a clean fit on the 12 bolt rear end ,but actually was being held out .010 to .020 of an inch from a flat fit. And make sure you have the parking brake adjusted before you bleed it.
Thanks again for the sources.

Re: Rear Window Gasket?
Ok... it wouldn't list the locking strip but when I gave the number km812568 to the "chat help" they said they do have it and added it to my order. They weren't sure why it didn't show up online but got this problem solved...

Re: Rear Window Gasket?
They will probably just send it in a roll and youll have to cut it. restoration spec. even did that. so mine looks like a hack did the gasket. An FYI for anyone doing this, use lots of tape to protect your paint job around the opening, ( I didn't). And you will need one of those tools for the lock strip. The corners are a real PITA.
I broke down and got a MATCO one because we have several pieces of equip that use that style of gasket along with the A's I want to do.

Re: Rear Window Gasket?
LMC truck, brothers, and classic parts truck parts all have
the rubber with the locking strip, use the ones for the 64,66
panel back door glass. I got the rubber that doesn`t have the
locking strip in my back doors, was a little tougher to install,
but nice looking when done, no strip to mess with.

Re: Rear Window Gasket?
Mo, I bought some from JC Whitney and my glass guy could not get the glass in and use the locking spline they sent. It appears that the new gasket is thicker in the center devider and the glass would not fit in the opening and be in the middle. He had to order some smaller gaskets that worked just fine. We also put the spline on the inside to make a cleaned looking job. I still have it if you want that I can send it and you try it on your doors. Might be able to cut glass down to work with this bubber. ( It is all made in China now ).
