finally ,my very own econoline in europe!!

hi everyone,,
after a lot of searching and hassles i just received my very own econoline pickup!!
it's a 1965 pickup ,which had a heavy duty inline 6,, now equiped with a 302ci v8
it's gonna need full restoration!!
someone already started before but did it very badly!!
since there aren't any econolines over here ( the netherlands) advice , tips ,parts ,all is welcome!!!
here are some pictures of it,, i think i'll get started somewhere around august,, still gotta finish up a few things,,

since i'm from europe and don't know my ways around the us,, it's very nice to have someone you can trust and helpes you along!!
haha,, i really haven't much thought about what i'm gonna do,,
first thing i gotta do is get it registered here,,
in holland you need to get a registration on youre vehicle ,,to get this you need to have youre car ready for inspection,,
with ready i mean,, completely original as far as technique and bodywork,,
so i think that will be the first thing,, as soon as it passes that inspection it's fun time,, then i can do almost anything i want (almost,, you still need to get the car inspected for a safety inspection ,which doesn't have too many rules )
i'm plannin on upgradin suspension ,steering, engine ,etc,,
but that's something for the future,,

Sorry, you're not the only one with an econoline in europe. I bought one last march in Utrecht. It's now parked in Nederweert, just 20 miles south from you're place.

and no i'm not the only one,,but i was talkin about pickups,,i know a few vans around,, a brown camper was for sale in eindhoven not a long time ago,, i also seen a black van before,,
but the only pickups i know off is mine and two others at the same guy that owned the brown van,,
there pretty kool,, i think you know him,,
goin to any shows soon,, would love seein yours!!?

Yes it was me at the meeting in Asten, and it was also this van for sale on marktplaats. I bought it in march from a guy in Utrecht. I'll probably be going to the all american day in Weert and maybe to the american weekend in Lommel. There also is a car show in my home town on 20 september, perry's hotrods will also be there with some cars.
I don't know if i'll take the van to the show in Weert because I'm coming home from a harley rally in Luxembourg that same day. If we're back late I'll probably ride straight there on my bike.

Maybe I'll see you on one of these meetings

yeah that's pretty much what i was plannin on doin,,
weld it shut,, and smoothin it out (not havin the deeper part were it says ford )
seen the engine too?
it has a 426ci ,,500 horses,, runs like a mutherfucka!!
