Looks like it cleaned up real nice...I'm sure someone will chime in with a trick for getting those dents out...How about one of those stud welders. If they stick to brass, which is what I'm assuming that tank is, you could weld a few studs on there and then use the pulling tool to pull them out???

take it off and Pump air into it or fill it with water and put it in the freezer,,,,water expands,,,,,,,
