I have seen posts where somebody has responded with a shot of an exploded view of the item in question which also had the part number (not from the service manual).

Any idea where these documents exist?

If you are a member of the 61-67 Econolines group on Facebook, it's in the files section. May have been posted here at some point

1957-1963 Ford Truck (Master) Parts and Accessories Catalog (three books)
1964-1974 Ford Truck Master Parts and Accessories Catalog (two books)

You can buy these in paper-book form on eBay, or you can buy them in CD-ROM version as PDF files.  Search around.

Here is a link to Fordification where they are recreating the 1964-1972 Parts Catalog.

It's a link to a PDF document in the files section of the 61-67 Econolines Facebook page. It works for me, but I'm a member of that group. Maybe it doesn't work for non-members....
