I am buying an E window this week as a project. I owned two E's back in the 70's and have owned 5 or six Fords with the straight 6 that I consider to be one of Ford's best powerplants. Looking forward to digging into this one and get nostalgic about the days of Steppenwolf on the 8 track and all my band and groupies in the back. Van On, Garth ! Van On, Wayne ! cheers cheers

Welcome, I'm new here as well. Just got a 67 window last week. She just got her tags on today and I was cruising and having fun. You will love the looks you get from folks when they see ya driving her. If you need any parts let me know. I just hooked up with a bunch.

Thanks to all . Going to pick it up based on pics on Tue . Guy says it's a 67 but it has round tailights , did the 67's have round lights ? I thought they were rectangular .

I am in Ne Georgia 80 mi from Atlanta . I used my first e to haul band equipment as I was a bass player in a rock band. I traded a Mustang coupe for this rust bucket 62 Club wagon . It was a workhorse. Later moved to the coast 300mi away and drove the old bucket back and forth many times , hauled surfboards, all my friends and picke up lots of hitchhikers . Not any epic journeys just miles of smiles. I sold it to a guy who drove it to Fla and on the trip back a rear leaf popped upthru the floor. That was the end of her . The next one was 64 eco window . I was in college and it was a chick magnet . What can I say. It was a bondo buggy. The funny thing is the van I am picking up this week looks better that the two I had 40 years ago.

    Van On ,

Got my van ! Found a tag receipt said it is a 65 Falcon has interior panels in parts and pieces.
very nice condition . Little to no rust , same owner since 73. Has sat for 10 years . Turned motor by hand , no brakes Lots of work to do. Just trailered it home thru Atl rush hour traffic.and heavy rain. Will post pics ASAP. I think brakes are priority one just for err stopping as I have to move it around. Any suggestions appreciated.

Drop the gas tank and clean it out along with the fuel lines before you start it...

Congrats Dulcimer, can't wait to see it. I just picked up a bunch of spare parts today from St Augustine. Had to buy it as a lot to get the parts I needed, so tons of extra stuff. Let me know if you are looking for anything. We could meet somewhere half way unless you are looing for a reason to come to Charleston. So let's talk.
