Re: Arizona Desert
yep,,,,,,Quartzsite, Arizona,,,,,,,I go there for the 1000 tents of swap meet stuff and cruise the Desert on my little 1971 Honda Scrambler ,,,,,64Chevy guy comes out also,,,,,,I hauled about 10 baskets of stuff he bought on my cycle back to our campsite,,,,,,his Harley might be made for haulin something, but it aint for stuff,,,,,I met this 77 year old guy with a 68 Sportvan and invited him out to the campsite and worked on his van to get it running better,,,,I met this other guy with a 66 Chevy with a Willys drivetrain under it,,,,,I just got home right now,,,,so I will post more,,,,,,,

Re: Arizona Desert
Quartzite is this sleepy little town most of the year. Then it gets CRAZY for a few months, then settles back down.
Did you guys stop in the bookstore and talk to the guy? Quite the character!

Re: Arizona Desert
There are a whole bunch of snowbirds there trying to escape Winter,,,,,,however,,,the weather is cooler than where we come from in California,,,,,but its nice to visit in the Winter,,,,its in the 70's,,,,,but the summer is horrible there,,,,,Arizona is different,,,,,,its kind of stuck in the Cowboy days,,,,,still the Wild West,,,,,,,,we did not go into any stores there,,,,,just the tents,,,,here is some of my stuff that I found,,, everytime I parked my cycle, I would come back to find my baskets full of stuff 64 Chevy Guy found,,,,I think I hauled about 10 baskets back to the campsite ,,,,, it sure is a nice peacefull place to ride motorcycles,,,,,way better than the rat race in California....
