64 A100 Carb Help

Hello from Scotland.

My 64 A100 ( 170 slant six ) has a Carter 2 BBL 4422 2168 carb fitted.

It ticks over nicely but wont rev cleanly.

Firstly, is the carb likely to work on this engine because it seems more suited to to a big V8? Is it overfueling?

Secondly, if it will work, where can I source a rebuild kit?

Might find some info here.

I run a BBD 2bbl on my 273v8, I got the rebuild kit from O'Reilly Auto Parts (a local shop).

I dont know about whether your 2bbl goes on that motor or not, heck the service manual if you have one for that engine size.

Lucky! I have a 64 170 with a 1 barrel. pretty sure that is not original.
