What is the interior width of a "G" van?

Has anyone ever bought a bench seat that folds out and into a bed?

    Thoughts???

The width near the top of where the bench seat would finish is around 61"ish and the widest is around 67".

I have had that type of bench in a few different vans. They are made in different widths. I had them along the back and also running the length of the van. They work well.

I have read that the rear seats that make into a bed out of an astro van & I think a Aerostar fits perfect.

You can use the ford aerostar rear seats, they come in two widths if you like.

The rear seats/ bed from any conversion van will fit just fine.

Wow Dix, your van looks great. When you sleep on that rear seat, do you sleep with your head on one side of the van and your feet on the other side, or along the length of the van?

Thanks for the kind words. i do sleep passenger side to drivers side or visa versa pending on any slope. the conversion vans are all over the junk yards now. the brackes will fit in between the wheel wells unless your planning to tube it.

Most of the older Mark III style conversion vans have flip back rear seats. Most of them are hard to sleep on because they are made to be seats frist and beds second. However, the metal mechanism is light and can be fitted with padded plywood to make a flat bed like a VW camper. Pretty easy to upholster a rectangle as well. Getting high density foam (not the couch stuff) seems kinda hard tho. Good luck.
