Re: Baltimore PD mobile crime lab...
Chevy must have manufactured these vans with a custom sagging door handle. Mine looks like that but its 44yrs old. That one can't be too old when the pic was taken.
If it were a paddy wagon I would say it is in route to the slammer carrying our mayor who was just indited on 12 criminal charges today!!
There all crooks!!

A little off-topic, but to help give supporting evidence to the above claim - Our Governor was impeached today! 114-1. I'm sure they'll crucify him in the IL Senate hearing.
What moron gets caught in wire taps when he knows they're listening?

Theory on sagging cargo door handles...
Someone with more muscle than brains decided to force the door open while it was still locked.
It's not hard to do. I "fixed" the sagging passenger door handle on my '50 Plymouth sedan by just torquing it in the opposite direction. Did the same thing on my '67 Chevy panel van cargo door handle. I figure the problem is in the relatively soft and weak square rod that the handles attach to. Or something.
Your mileage may vary.

Re: Baltimore PD mobile crime lab...
Where he door handle shaft fits into the latch is soft metal and breaks loose when you turn the handle too much. Like when you turn it when it is locked or the rods are not lined up in the holes. But Chevy did something about it,,,,,,,,the 2nd Gens have a peg built into the escutcheon to stop the handle,,,,,,(or at least it keeps it looking straight.)
