Re: The Tree Van !!!!!!!
A 4X4 early sounds cool and since I'm moving back to Upper Michigan, I may have to look into it on the next one....
Don, those pic's of the block and added springs are cool. A picture is truly worth a 1000 words!

Re: The Tree Van !!!!!!!
These springs needed rebuilding,,,,they have never been apart, but I did change the bushings back in the 80's. And I needed to change the bent center bolts and twisted shackles from that CrashVan Adventure anyways,,,,,,And here you go Vanish,,,,,exactly the riding height you like,,,,,except the only blocks are the ones on the floor,,,,,up to the frame,,,,,

Re: The Tree Van !!!!!!!
Since the engine sits 2" over to the right, so does the doghouse. If you measure the distance between the lip of the doghouse house cover to the inner door panel, you will find it's 20" on the right, 22" on the drivers side on a 1st Gen. So you need seats with a maximum width at the base of 20". The cushions can be wider because they are soft. My seats hang over the lip of the doghouse by 1",,,,so they will rub the on the doghouse cover when I open it if I don't push them back a little. These Mazda seats are great,,,,,,all kinds of lumbar and backrest adjustments and fold down flat also,,,,,,,I should of put these 1992 Mazda 626 seats in back in 1970 when I got the Van,,,,,,,,,
