OMG!!! Another 1st gen Chevy in Prairie Du Chien!!! This showed up about a week ago. Owned by a kid that his father gave to him before his father passed away. He wants to restore it. I have an extra rear window that i am going to give to him.[img:8f28]https://i.servimg.com/u/f35/19/03/21/29/july_210.jpg[/img]

I snapped these while trying to safely past through a stop light, got the best I could. Notice it has a Fore Sale Sign in the front window! Hurry before it's gone!!!
I think the woman on the corner sign read "Why!? Why did you do that to that poor Van!?"
There is only one Aircraft that has a tail like that and that would be the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom - one beautiful aircraft!!! It doesn't do much for that Chevy Van though!!!

Well, this Arizona van is clearly using stealth technology to avoid police radar! Must have been inspired by this specially-painted Stealth Fighter, the last one built.

Re: I seen a VAN,,,(,part 1) Old posts
Someone at the auto swap told me about a Van in Chula Vista last monday, he said it was east of third on Oxford. I just happened to be over there this morning and went looking for it.
Obviously a second gen. and possibly a camper interior.
Looks like it has been sitting for some time, flat tires etc.
The house looks abandoned, even the mail box is gone. Also looks like someone had a bunch of stuff stored way back on the property.(corvette,boats,equiptment,etc.) Maybe the neighbor knows something but nobody was home.
I need another Van like a hole in the head but I will go by in the afternoon sometime and see if I can get "The Deal"

You're NOT going to find another one like that!
UNIQUE, it looks like it's preparing for take-off!!!
Looks like he's putting a lot of himself into that project and making it his own...All the more power to him! I wonder what those mirrors came off of

Re: I seen a VAN,,,(,part 1) Old posts
That 2nd Gen looks really straight. And I'd say that's original paint. My van had that surface rust/white paint look. What did the other side look like? Typical cargo van? Don, did you get a look inside? Any vintage camping furniture in there?
And that Ford - Wow! I'm always for trying something new, and this guy is certainly doing that! I've always loved cars with hideaway headlights but this is the first time I've seen an attempt to add them to a van. (Seems to have hidden turn signals too!) No doors in the back, and maybe on big side cargo door.
And that mod to the windshield is very unique. It's kind of the opposite of chopping the roof — instead of lowering the roof he, in effect, raised the belt line! Which is fine — have you ever noticed that we pretty much only look through the top 1/3 of our windshields? 1/4 if you've installed taller seats from some other car!

I saw this E-Pick up on the way to do something today. Didn't see it until I was going back for the second trip to do something again. Seen in Chandler AZ.
