Remember Don's in CA and lighting things on fire is not popular.

small flame, about the size of the stump and quality burn. just like a pig roast, excellent result.

Good eye Donivan, from your angle looks to be a pre-67. Know the year? The Van looks pretty good being at least 42 years old.

STUMP-BE-GONE
We had a stump problem and we did almost the same thing. We drilled into the stump with the largest and longest drill bit to get the biggest & deepest holes, then poured DRANO 1/2 way full and topped it off with a little water into all of the holes, not too long after that, that sucker gave up the ghost, basically dried up & caved in.........not only unclogs your pipes & does a real number on all those unwanted stumps!!! Works-for-me!!! I would not recommend roasting pork like this, it get tough & chewy around the edges.

Easy way to kill that stump - drill the holes then fill them with table salt; no mess, no fires, just dead wood. Rv

Re: I seen a VAN,,,(,part 1) Old posts
Coldest new Van sighting of 2009.... its a 2nd Gen Chevy Sportvan 108 I saw while vacationing in Minnesota.
Ugh! Driving around in the snow, sliding on icy streets until they spread enough salt on them to turn them into black sludge. It's a miracle there are any early vans surviving in this savage environment!
Today I happily returned to San Diego! MN was a good minder of how most of the country lives. In the future I'll try not to be so glib when I post about working on and cruising in our vans here in the winter...

Re: I seen a VAN,,,(,part 1) Old posts
Last weekend I saw this Dodge Sportsman here in San Diego:
The young woman driving it said her roommate recently bought it for $500. She got it mainly for going to the beach, but on this day she had it packed up with stuff, helping a friend move. It had a lot of typical beach rust but she said it runs good. It's got a pop top too. I gave her the URL to this web site.

Don you need to have a van show. Just the vans in you're area would be a huge turn out.

Re: I seen a VAN,,,(,part 1) Old posts
I probably have seen close to 100 Early Vans in my area,,,,,,,and the most that I have ever got together in one place at one time is 3. I need to set a new record this year with at least 4 of us in one place, at one time. Not everybody has the ("Welcome, Early Van Brother,) spirit.
