what is layden weight

if the gvw of a 69 a100 dodge van is 3,100 lb. is the layden weight the same???. thanks dix...

If you drive the truck onto a scale with a load on it, that is the laden weight,,,,,,when the the truck is empty, that is the unladen, or curb weight. The GVW is the maximum laden weight that the truck was made to handle,,,,,,
