I am going to be pulling the 6 cyl out of my 69 Chevy 90 & I will probaly pull the head before I pull the block out. Did you drop the transmission or just put a jack under it to hold it in place?

Mine had a six in it when I got it, didn't have to pull the head off. Just made the chain as short as possible when connecting it to the cherry picker. I had a 3 speed that I was going to replace with a 350 turbo so I just put some blocks under the engine and yanked the tranny out first. As long as you got a good floor for the cerry picker to roll on it'll be an easy job.

Been working on EVERYTHING on my van...dashlight didn't work, drivers window fell out of track, passenger window had metal track come off glass, locks rekeyed, blinkers, small coolant leak, stuck lifter, front leafsprings, door stay brackets, adjusting shifting cable, more coolant leaks, wipers work and then don't, realized I had no breather tube on my valve cover...
One day at a time...I will eventually get all the bugs out...this van has really taught me "patience"

Been driving just around town so far, haven't hit the highway yet. Making sure everything works and have no leaks or burst into a ball of flames. So far so good, the front end seems a little springy. Have new shocks and swaybar...just feels wierd though.
