All I can say is, that other than whats rusted away it all seems to be there. cherry

It does have a recored radiator , all the lights work except those horrible ones on top,not sure about the gas guage yet , but I havent found anything serious that doesnt work on it.

Its got 4 hubcaps ,are they original to this rig?

I took it down to the tire shop ,trailer and all to have them throw a good skin on the rt rear, took it back to the pit and backed it off and drove it around some.

Other than all that ,she's cherry. what did I give for it you ask?

after half a pound of skin from my knuckles and a pint of blood I decided this "fun" toy needed a new home.

Hey Joe, Thats nice, was that one from this area? I had mine out yesterday so I could put a tractor away. I have some extra parts and a couple service manuals if you don't have one.

Finally got the 69 in the shop the other day, stripped the front bumper and some odd stuff, cleaned out about a 5 gallon pails worth of squirrels nests.

In order to take the rear bumper off tho I figured I better get rid of that (what I thought was a small leak! ) leaking gas tank before I put a torch to it.

Got the tank out with some effort due to some rusted strap bolts. And was able to see all the tiny holes.

It was leaking in 1 spot until I took a scraper to the area, then it was like a small shower, about 6 gallons later I was good to go. Just going to work on the leaf springs and brakes for now, deal with the body later on after I get the needed pieces in order.

I think those are stock hub caps. The '69 WSDS radio van I parted out had a set of those on it. The rust pattern looks the same as mine so it must be a Michigan truck.

I had a customer at the pit say something about getting the tank lined with plastic? Possibly some place in Lansing MI. I will be checking with a local shop that advertises tank repair also, (these guys also seem to check radiators using an icepick) so I'm not expecting much from them. I have what I think is a non leaking tank off my 66 but it set up for that single sideways strap. I am going to try to fix it tho one way or another ! Yeah D, I'm pretty sure its a MI truck, was even undercoated at onetime in its life, I still think folks put to much faith in that junk. JMO

My tank had small holes like that. I cleaned the tank up and soldered the holes using a small gas torch and normal electrical solder, and then treated the inside with POR15 tank sealant. It has worked a treat. No more leaks and no rust in the fuel lines anymore....
