by OutofSight Thu Mar 05, 2020 4:17 pmI have a couple extra slip yoke drive shafts lying around and would like to replace the u-joints. I’m a bit baffled as to how to remove them. I don’t see any clips, or rings visible. Are they just pressed in? Any help is appreciated.

there is a 1/2 clip on the inside . knock off the clips and use a socket to drive them out

support the drive shaft when driving the cup out so you don't bend the shaft

I saw that half clip, but wasn’t completely comfortable messing with it.

take out both clips and that will give the movement room
it may take some pressure to remove . hammer & a socket socket or a press make sure you support the yoke

I got the clips removed and will be press out the end caps this afternoon.
