I got to meet KookyKrispy at this gathering. He drove his new 2nd Gen 167 miles to join us on San Diego Bay!
Kooky, you gotta post some photos of the inside of that van! The PO did a LOT of electrical work and kooky custom storage areas! My favorite is the scissor mount:
I didn’t take enough photos. There were 15 or 20 vans there. Most of the vans there were the Vans & Coffee guys, who do these van meet ups on the second Sunday of each month. Their online hangout is Instagram and these coffee locations are announced here, under the name san_diego_vannin:

They also set up the Vans by the Bay events. They have some Earlies but are mostly 70s vans.
This is Mik and his two go carts! Always fun at these events. He is selling them both, along with a cool, double decker trailer, if anyone is interested.
Check our this custom hydraulic bike lift this guy made by trimming down a wheelchair lift!! He put it on his Ford 4x4 that he’s got all decked out for the desert. He wanted the bike to be up high for off-road clearance. Not only is it good for hauling, he can also do repairs on his and others’ bikes while out in the boonies! He’s got a compressed air tank under the van so he can use air-powered tools!
