There is a zerk fitting on the shift tube housing. Its accessible through the grill. Start there and then work your way back, you may be grinding on the radiator bulkhead which will require some new bushings to make go away.

It can also be rubbing where it goes through the frame bracket in the doghouse area.

Its been a very old issue with the worn out bushings in the frame as Seth mentioned. I have electrical replacement bushings that will snap in as a replacement. That should fix the sqeeeeeeeeeeeksz.
I also rebuild the columns if you have the usual shifting problems.
