Hey all new to the site. Got a 62 mercury e-truck. Looking for all the info I can get on swapping a smal block chev into it. Also looking at throwing it on some air bags to drop it down.

    Thanks.

Welcome! If you're interested in dropping in a V8, I would search for posts by a member here named "Old Skool". (Click the "member" tab, search for "Old Skool". Click on the triangle by his ID, select "see all posts.) There is a ton of information there. As far as I know, he only uses Ford engines. I respect your choice to drop in a Chevy. There will be others here who may "poo-poo" it but we all should choose our own path. You will need some of the same things that are needed for a Ford V8(Crossmember, larger radiator, transmission with it's own crossmember, the list goes on.) Vic, aka "Old Skool" makes and sells crossmembers(engine and trans) for Ford. Putting in Chevy, you'll have to find another source or possibly fabricate your own. I'm not trying to scare you off, it can be done. I wish you the best of luck! I hope that we are able to help. Welcome again!

    P.S. I love my Epup.

Welcome to VV. I have chosen the sbc for my 66 and it was easy to drop in. Went in with a cherry picker through the side doors with the trans still attached. I would have liked it to be ford in ford but.... I only had one engine running, and well, the rest is history. NEW...not rebuilt or cleaned original Rad will be needed and most likely electric fan as well. You may also want to consider widening the bottom of the dog house just for better air flow as well. Just some things to consider on your adventure. Good luck and don't forget to post pics...lol.
