Do your windows ever come down on their own? Mine are. I'm pretty sure it isn't ghosts. Smile
I replaced the "fuzzies" (where your arm rests) and the track that goes over the top and down the back of the window. They were shot. It helped only a little bit but, they still come down.
Is there a spring or something in there that could be worn out or adjusted?
    thanks!!

So do you think the spring would be shot?
I would have suspected maybe someone had taken it out and didn't wind the spring enough but, they are both like that and the glass is old and the felts were shot. So I don't know why someone would have been in there if not for replacing those things.
My guess is those regulators are a "dandy" to get out. Smile

Yes, the spring gets worn out after 50 years. the regulator is not that tough to remove. Not sure what other models/years spring might interchange, but my search would start by taking a look at the spring from chevy truck of the same year

the springs usually do not wear out they just break
but the shaft that the handle goes on has a spring loaded
mechanism inside it that does wear out and will need to
be replaced, you can get kits to replace them from all the
places that sell chevy truck parts (brothers, lmc, classic parts)
just buy one for the same year truck as the van you own, it will
require removal of the rivits and reattaching the new mechanism
I'm sure you can google the process and find a video on how its done
all the 66 and older chevy regulators will work the same way 67 and newer
use a different handle but the guts are very similar. hope this helps
