Door locks. Where can we get them?? Empty Door locks. Where can we get them??

I have a key for my ignition but it does not work for any door. And the lock is completely missing on the back doors. What can I do about this?? I'd love to just have one key but I would settle for two. But, I really don't want three.
    Thanks,
    Chaz

The ignition lock was probably changed at some point......A good locksmith shop can reverse engineer keys, but you will probably have to leave a lock with him..... I'd pop the side door lock out first and have a key made... Chances are that it will also fit the front doors

I don't know if Chevy's are similar to Econoline locks but here is a thread on how to rekey locks that jdlaugh posted a little while ago...

    https://vintage-vans.forumotion.com/t50430-rekeying-door-locks-how-to?highlight=locks

Here's another thread on Chevy's and Don lists an Autozone ad for locks...

    https://vintage-vans.forumotion.com/t44064-locks-keys-rekey-anyone-know-of-a-cheap-locksmith?highlight=locks

The "Search" tab at the top of the page is very useful for this sort of information, I just typed in locks and found several threads on the subject... Very Happy

Thanks Vanny. Some good info there. I may try doing it myself but I still need to find one more lock.
I am very familiar with the search feature but, I like to communicate and learn even more from personal chat. Sometimes I can even be of "some" usefulness my self. Smile (sometimes) lol
    Thanks again.

Umm, sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by cargo door? The rear doors are the ones where the lock is missing. The side doors and front doors have locks, just no keys. What is meant by "cargo door"?

Actually, I'd LIKE to have new/better side doors. They are OK but they will take some work to actually straighten out. Mine do not have windows but, I would be OK with or without windows. Any ideas where one might find some??
    Thanks!!!!!
