New Battery selection Empty New Battery selection

Post by Zonk 1/75 Sat Jun 03, 2017 2:37 pm

My truck is an occasional driver with most time spent parked in the garage.

After an extended absence the battery needed a charge but it drains quickly and I have to jump it often.

I intend to install power window units, door poppers and a sound system.

Considering running a dual battery set-up if necessary?

Was looking at the Optima batteries. Red or Yellow ???

    How much Cold Cranking Amps?

    Options other than Optima ???

    Thanks for any input.....

    Saw that.......

    Found this:
    Red vs Yellow

Any reason to limit the CCA or should I get the most available ???

    Thanks

From what you were saying about adding a lot of electronics, I would lean towards the yellow top. I can't tell you from experience because I have never had an Optima. Too cheap I guess !!!
