    What was used to seal this originally? Don't know enough to know whether it's any good or what should be used? Want to make it as tight to noise and air as possible.

    Auto stores sell stick-on weatherstrip in rolls. I used it to replace the gaskets for the battery tray floor cover and vent door. Should work here too if you can't get an original gasket, may try rock auto, was this box used in other GM trucks?
