Champion radiator 6065LD

Hi All, Hope everyone had a safe and Merry Christmas.
I am going to buy a Champion radiator #6065LD for my 1963 Ford Econoline pickup that has  a 3 spd tranny. Before I do, I have a few questions.
1) will the mount holes of the radiator, line up with the holes on the frame, that is bolted to the doghouse?
2) will there be a clearance issue between the fan and the radiator?
3) and the main question is, the inlet and outlet on my old radiator are both 1 1/4". I see the Champion 6065LD has an inlet of 1 1/2" and an outlet of 1 3/4". That could be a problem unless there is a solution to this, other that having 1 1/4" inlet and outlet's put on them.

johnny---I installed one of those radiators into my 61. I did have to reem out the mounting holes ever so slightly and trim a very tiny amount off the drivers side mounting tab. I was amazed how good it fit into the vehicle. As for the inlet/outlet size, I didn't even know there was a difference. I just used standard econoline hoses and chinched them down with standard hose clamps. Maybe I just got lucky. Maybe someone else will chime in with their experience. Good lucl.

Well, it states on Champions website that the 6065LD has 1.25" ports in and out, so that is the one you're looking for. There is another one that has the 1.5" and 1.75" but apparently that one isn't it and I don't see it listed on there website at the moment. Iirc, it's something like 6065XX don't remember the suffix.... maybe SD?

Looks like they've changed the model # of the other one and don't have it indexed well in their lists. It's now # MC251

Seth, the 6065Ld looks liike it will work perfect. The mounts are on the correct side of the radiator and the inlet and outlet are the right side. The 6065LD I saw on line had 1 1/2" inlet and 1 3/4 outlet. I will call them Monday to make sure.

I wouldn't sweat the hose sizes.  Here's a chart of Dayco's Flex Hoses. An 81081 works fine on the top. The bottom I don't know - I have the LP version.

Thanks Brian. I called Champion and asked them to check the inlet and outlet. They called me back and said the info that shows, 1.5 and 1.75 is wrong. The correct info will be updated to 1.25 and 1.25. So I ordered a 6065LD. It should arrive next week. Thanks again for everyones help ........Happy New Year...........John

Hey John. Any reviews on your new Champion radiator? I'm looking into getting one, they seem to be a great value.

I have 3 champion rads. all 3 core ones- cool better than anything!! They are a quality product

Just watch out for electrolysis. I had no idea about this and I lost one to corrosion. I put the zinc thing in the drain plug and everything seems to be working out great on my second champion radiator

Illadd= the radiator stop leak stuff - use only compatable stuff for alu. Radiators-or corosion gets bad!!
