1309 miles. Colorado to Indiana.
That's a pretty fair clip. Smile

I would try thr MOPARTS board, there are several members that transport vehicles for a living there. I will see if I can get you some contact info.

Congrats! On shipping, I bought my van only about 320 miles away but it wasn't roadworthy enough to make the trip home so I shipped it. Internet sales of vehicles has spawned a huge network of interstate car transporters. Just google search your area, most are small open trailers pulled by heavy duty pickup trucks with 3-4 cars at a time. A large closed antique auto transport will cost $2-3 per mile or more. The open small guys get about $1.00-1.50 mile. I paid $700 for transport, but they based it on "round trip" even though they contacted another carrier who made a one-way trip to bring it, they share what they call backhauls on these trips, they don't make money bringing an empty trailer back, its a whole network run by regional brokers who coordinate the pickups, (the name on the delivery truck didn't match who I paid) but they were very reliable, it was well secured and was delivered on time, they call you when they are a few hundred miles away with the ETA. Open haul will get it dirty if it rains/snows or covered with bugs in summer so expect to clean it when it arrives. Since you're requesting over 1000 miles, they will probably use a larger auto rack truck and that's why they need to know the height, will it fit on the lower level or make it too high for clearance on the top deck? Welcome aboard, you will get the hang of posting pics in no time here, takes a little doing but not too hard...

Yes sir Russell, that is it. I found out that my "mouse" is going bad. The right button is messed up so I could not click on it to cut and paste.
Thanx Vantasia!! It's good to finally have one after wanting one for so long. Basically since I was 16 - 40 years ago! (and of course, the recent ups and downs)
I hope to be of some help to you all in the future. I certainly appreciate all the help in the Gvans for sale forum.

When I bought my 64 A100 pickup. It was in Alpine California . Needed it shipped to New Franklin, Ohio 2340 miles. I used a place called Magic Carpet Transport. This was in 2013. Magic Carpet Transort, is an auto shipping broker service.
Alpine, Ca is near SanBernadino. my house is 30 miles south of Cleveland, ohio.
Anyway I talk with a guy named jeff as I recall at MCT. They picked up my A100 and dropped it off at my house. It took 5 days. It was shipped on an open auto transport rig. The kind that hauls 8-10 new cars. The price I paid at that time was $1040.00
They will charge more money if the vehicle will not start and drive onto and off of, the transport rig. My pickup had cooling problems, but could drive onto and off the rig.
I had never had a vehicle shipped cross country before. And was worried to death about doing it.
When the truck arrived it was dusty, from the journey. But in great shape. If I needed to transport again, I would use them.
By the way , if you fill for out quotes onlne. You phone will NEVER STOP RINGING...EVER !!! for weeks and weeks. the emails will never stop also.

I looked in my records and found this information if you want it.

I made a mistake about the mileage from alpine, CA to my house. I had said it was 1300 miles. But it was actually 2340 miles@$1040.00. So when you figure out the price per mile it =.44 cents per mile. So I think that I got a great price.

I went with All States. BBB had A- rathing and reviews were probably a tad better than others in that range. $800.00. 1309 miles.
Thanks a BUNCH!!!
