I have nominated one of our members here for a well deserved sub title under his screen name.  I did it without asking Him but felt it was well deserved. I have requested and succeeded in getting Econopoor the coveted sub title of "Econoline Guru" under His screen name.

This idea came to me after years of reading his posts and being astounded by his seemingly unlimited knowledge of econolines.  He seems to know every year, trim level, engine size/tranny combo, option, nut, bolt, gasket and most of us fools who have ever owned one.  And He is quick to post and share that knowledge with all of us at Vintage Vans.

Maybe we could hold it to just one subtitle per brand but maybe the mighty moderators will let the keystrokes fly in  a hotly contested race and name several for a subtitle?

This is just for fun so set aside your ego and your emotions. Give a pat on the back to some of our forum favorites that frequently share their expertise and knowledge. After all its whatever it takes to keep our beloved shoebox vans running up and down the road.

So give it some thought.  Think about that vanner  that keeps posting time and time again.  They share everything they know.  And some of these vanners/truckers have forgotten more than some of us will ever learn.  That's ok, everybody can't be the best.  Some of us are just ordinary or not even very good. That's ok too.

So go ahead post it here, nominate a deserving vanner for a little web recoginition  Cool

Soon we will know who all the Vintage Vanning experts are!

That was a Fantastic Idea you came up with Magic. I too, rely on Econopoor for his expertise and there are others on here as well with a wealth of information to share. Two thumbs way up for this idea! Very Happy cheers Old Skool is another "Econoline Guru" who has so many helpful posts that the rest of us depend on!

I am anxiously awaiting to here from others who you think deserves this honor...  would like to see all makes represented, and IMO there can be more than one Guru for each...

BUT before I add another for the Econo-fans, I would like to cover the other makes first... Wink

it's a no frills appointment...  no special color for your user name, no other bangs or whistles, just a "title of sorts" below your user name when you post to let "the masses" know what you know about best!
