Carter YF Top End

Post by 1966G10 on Mon Aug 17, 2015 12:20 pm

Looking to see if anyone has a Carter YF carburetor they would like to sell. For my 66 Sportvan. Where my fuel line goes in the aluminum is stripped and doesn't tighten up. I really only need the top end but if i need to I will buy the whole carb.

I will have to give that a shot, thank you. Such a let down, trying to get it running and everything and then it doesn't seal up. But thats the name of the game I guess.

Look on ebay, lots of old YF needing rebuilding you could get for parts. there are also several rebuilt ones for high dollar but contact those sellers and see if they have some old cores they'd sell you, most are freindly and helpful. try doni's idea first.
